Deer Repellant: Scram

SOIL AMENDMENT

Soil amendment are mostly necessary. few of us are blessed with the rich loamy soil which most plants love. Here in the northeast, many of us have the hard-packed clay typical of this area.One way or the other the work you put in, to improve your soil will be well repayed with a beautiful thriving garden. If you are not sure what type of soil you have, bring a sample with you to the Nursery and we will be happy to advise you on how to improve it.

Mountain Pine Soil Mix: Unlike top soil, our soil mix is a blend of compost, soil, peat moss, and time release fertilizer. It is the same mix we use to grow our own plants and you can see the results here at the Nursery. Mountain Pine Soil Mix is available in 3 cu. ft. bags as well as 1 cu. yd. (pick-up only)
Compost: Compost will improve ANY soil and make your plants love you. It is available in 3 cu. ft. bags as well as 1 cu. yd.
Fertilizers provide your plants with the food they need. We offer two types for sale which we use on our own plants here at the Nursery. Both are time-release fertilizers which have the advantage of reducing not only run-off, but your labor as well
.
Osmocote: Available in 2.5 lb boxes and 50 lb bags. A long acting fertilizer that need be applied only once every season.

Electra: An organic fertilizer available in 50 lb bags. Needs to be applied twice during the growing season.
Mulches not only give your garden an attractive, well-tended appearance, but also suppress weed growth and conserve water.

Canadian Cedar: Available in easy to transport 3 cu. ft. bags and large 5 cu. yd. cubes. Purchase of a cube will give you a saving equal to 15 of the 3 cu. ft. bags.

DEER REPELLANT "SCRAM"

Scram, a  product for Mountain Pine customers is to control deer browsing. We have been using this product  for some years now. We can GUARANTEE  you that SCRAM will work! XD  Scram is a granular product that is used as a perimeter barrier against deer browsing in the garden. It works on the defense mechanisms of the deer and keeps them out of the garden completely – not just away from certain plants.
Scram has NO unpleasant odor and does NOT wash away under normal rains or regular irrigation. It is EASILY applied, lasts 6 to 8 weeks and even works through 18" of snow.
